The Ale...
The Butcher's Arms is a place where beer drinkers can enjoy the finest perfectly cask conditioned real ale. Martyn prides himself on stocking the beers that his customers want EVERY week, which is why the Butcher's Arms boasts such a huge loyal base of regulars.
Whether you prefer the more tradional ale or something a little out of the ordinary, Martyn will be able to locate an ale for you. As a customer of the Butcher's Arms, YOU, not a brewery can decide which beers are stocked.
Each week, Martyn has at least 4 ales available with enough variety to suit all tastes. There is always something different and Martyn's 'try before you buy' policy certainly adds to the whole experience.
The Butcher's Arms is not just about the ale. The ale is only as good as the banter and you are sure to find plenty of lively chat at the Butcher's Arms every evening and lunchtime. But beware! All subjects are open for debate whether they be of a rugby, religious, motorbike, political or even lager nature. Although Martyn will NOT tolerate any tabbing or favourable references to mass producing ale brewers!
